The Command Bunker Turrets are medium-sized turrets created by the
Automatons. These Turrets are primarily found in Command Bunkers which guards the structure itself to deter any
Helldiver it has spotted. They are similar to the Cannon Tower albeit smaller and has faster fire rate.
They are found naturally on some Points of Interests starting on Suicide Mission difficulty and are more prevalent on Super Helldive difficulty via Automaton Fortresses.
Tactics
- Upon engaging a Helldiver, Bunker Turrets will fire its shot three times. They are far more difficult to spot and dodge compared to the Cannon Tower due to their smaller appearance and faster firing rate, making it frustrating to engage in Fortresses.
- Bunker Turrets are often more aggressive in this regard, capable of spotting a Helldiver even on range.
- These turrets possess Heavy Armor, therefore, weapons such as the MG-206 Heavy Machine Gun and the P-4 Senator are capable of destroying it.
- A single overcharged RS-422 Railgun can destroy a Command Bunker Turret in one hit.
- Sustaining limb injury is often enough to knock down a Helldiver from a Bunker Turret shot. Be sure to deploy your Stratagem immediately to avoid dropping it via ragdoll.
- Completing the Compromise Automaton Defenses objective causes the Bunker Turret to malfunction, randomly firing at random directions and continuously rotating around.
Trivia
- The Command Bunker Turret is never named to as such in-game. Tagging it will simply refer to it as "Enemy Unit", much like the Command Bunker and dying to it will display "Killed by UNKNOWN". However, they are only referred to as such in the official patch notes.
