	~ Armory Description

The P-4 Senator is a double-action revolver in Helldivers 2. It features a six-round cylinder, firing from the bottom chamber, as well as a low-profile red dot sight and a rail-mounted flashlight beneath the barrel.

It can be unlocked on the first page of the "Steeled Veterans" Warbond for 15 Medals.

Role:

As of the recent patch, the Senator had several buffs, the most notable of which is making it penetrate heavy armor, the first sidearm capable of doing so. This puts the Senator in a unique position as it can now harm the likes of Hulks and Bile Titans, and it is powerful enough to quickly put down fodder enemies with a few well-placed shots.

This makes the Senator a true marksman's sidearm. Its slow reload speed and small magazine size makes missing shots very punishing, however its power and precision will not disappoint those who can quickly and accurately find their marks.

Gameplay

• While capable of heavy penetration, the P-4's low magazine capacity, ammunition pool, and relatively low DPS rate, does not actually make it efficient against heavily-armored units, unless being shot at their weakpoints (such as Hulk visors, which can be destroyed in 3-4 shots within close range). Its main draw is being able to do full damage against medium armored and sized opponents.
• While technically a rounds- reloaded weapon, the gun actually has two reload methods.
  • Standard rounds-reload is done when there is still ammo left in the cylinder, where the Helldiver will insert one round at a time.
  • A full magazine-style reload is done if the cylinder is empty, where the helldiver uses a 6-shot speedloader. Making a full cylinder reload much faster.
• The P-4 benefits heavily from the "Gunslinger" armor trait, as it speeds up the gun's reload speed and further reduces the recoil, allowing to better do rapid follow-up shots. It also benefits from "Siege Ready" as it boosts its total ammo capacity and reload speed.

Trivia:

• On rare occasions when pulling out the P-4 Senator, a short animation will play of the Helldiver spinning the weapon.
• Holding the reload button will cause your Helldiver to spin the revolver, in a similar fashion to a cowboy.
• The P-4 Senator is inspired by the Chiappa Rhino and RSh-12 Revolver.

Notes

• As of update 1.000.300, the iron sights on the Senator were changed from glow-sighted horizontal lines to a red dot sight.
