Myrium is one of the four planets that reside within the Morgon Sector.
Topography and Astrography
Super Destroyers in orbit over Myrium, deploying Hellpods.
Similar to planets like Calypso, Kraz and Effluvia, Myrium is a red, desertic planet mostly comprised of copper dunes that are only ever interrupted by tall, imposing plateaus. The arid and rocky environment of this planet has driven the evolution of an exceptionally water-efficient biosphere, as many shrubberies and bushes can be found scattered between the cliffs and ridges despite the relative rarity of springs on the planet.
The Dustlands of Myrium
Myrium experiences high tectonic activity, which manifests in frequent Tremors. These Tremors will often be enough to significantly hamper the mobility of all personnel deployed on the surface. However, they can create a pronounced advantage as, while the Tremors may slow down Helldivers, they have shown to be capable of paralyzing hostiles for a brief period of time, creating windows of opportunity for enemies to be cleared effortlessly or for a needed strategic withdrawal to be undertaken without issue.
Myrium is home to three Mega Cities, which will be listed up next by Tier. Mega City Tiers have no effect on level generation and only serve to determine a city's health pool in the galactic war map. The three Mega Cities on Myrium are the Town of Plethora and the Cities of Antboot and Pilot's Berth. Besides these cities, Myrium is also home to a multitude of scattered urbanized settlements that house a significant portion of its rural population.
The Myrium System consists of planet Myrium itself, its orbiting white moon and at least one other astronomical body, which is a red gas giant. Whether Myrium is a satellite of this gas giant or an independent planet on the system is up for debate. Additionally, at least one blue nebula can be seen from Myrium's orbit.
History
Second Galactic War
Return of the Illuminate
A Helldiver traversing the cliffs of Myrium- January 21st, 2186.
Myrium was a normal, peaceful colony of Super Earth far off in the Southern Galactic Rim, its first colonists having arrived during the Great Democratization after the First Galactic War. Much like other planets in its sector, its economy was prosperous enough to warrant the construction of urbanized settlements in order to house its population adequately and allow further settlement of the planet's surface. However, this peaceful, uneventful life would come to an abrupt end.
On December 25th, 2184, Myrium would be attacked by the resurgent
Illuminate, an old foe of Super Earth that was once thought defeated and extinct. The Helldivers, having been issued a generous amount of weaponry with occasion of the Festival of Reckoning, would immediately deploy onto the planet. However, even with this generous dispensation of freedom-spreading utensils, the Helldivers wouldn't be able to repel the Illuminate invasion in time, as they lacked the manpower to fully entrap the invading force.
Myrium would be left devastated in the wake of the invasion yet the aliens thirsted for more and, on January 15th, 2185, they deployed another invasion fleet onto the planet. With the main fleet occupied at the Farsight Sector with the containment of Terminid outbreaks, the Helldivers would only be able to dispatch a contingent to help with Myrium's defense.

Operation Ultrakill
Myrium would see many more invasions by the
Illuminate up until April 2185. With the planet housing millions upon millions of colonists, it was a constant target for Illuminate raids as they sought to kidnap more and more settlers to be converted into Voteless. Additionally, Myrium was just one of the dozens of planets that were used by the Illuminate to further their despotic, revealed scheme of moving the Meridian Singularity closer to Super Earth.

Eventually, following the Battle of Super Earth, the
Illuminate would begin to gradually gain territory in the Galactic South from June 2185 onwards. Myrium would initially remain out of the crossfire, but the Morgon Sector as a whole would be under threat with the Squ'ith menace in the Gallux and Rictus Sectors constantly threatening to invade Mog and Myrium alike.
On August 22, 2185, the safety of the Federation of
Super Earth would come under grave threat as a joint offensive by the
Terminids,
Automatons, and
Illuminate began to encroach upon numerous worlds. Amidst already ongoing assaults by the bugs and the Automatons led by their
Jet Brigade, the Illuminate would join the onslaught by sending 40 invasion fleets to both Grafmere and Parsh with the intent to reach Fort Sanctuary. With heavy pressure emerging on all 3 fronts, the
Helldivers were now ordered to stage a defense against the Illuminate as well by killing 1,000,000,000 of their illegal combatants.

The first engagements against the
Illuminate onslaught would be overall unsuccessful. The Galactic South was now mired in crisis. The Illuminate had already stomped through Parsh and Grafmere and then proceeded to launch another strong attack on Adhara. The situation was deteriorating drastically, and with Myrium's position right on the edge of the Cancri Sector- and thus Fort Sanctuary- it seemed the planet's longstanding survival under the embrace of the Federation was soon to end.

At 2 AM-SEST on August 24, the
Illuminate on Valmox would send a brazen, massive assault of 40 invasion fleets toward Myrium's surface with the intent of reaching the neighbor of Fort Sanctuary- Seyshel Beach.
By the time Myrium's defense had begun, the
Helldivers had their backs against the wall across the galaxy. The defenses of Parsh and Grafmere were on the brink of collapsing. Adhara's defenses were severely bruised. The Automaton
Jet Brigade was ravaging through Curia, and the
Terminids had essentially destroyed the entirety of the
Xenoentomology Centre on Turing. The situation would only worsen from there, as the rebuilt Automaton
Incineration Corps was spotted moving to Marfark and Vernen Wells before launching the largest assaults of the ongoing onslaughts, with a force of 45 invasion fleets each beginning attacks on Bekvam III and Tarsh.
Somehow, the
Illuminate would find a way to make matters worse. Some hours after the assaults by the
Incineration Corps began, the Squ'ith on the just-fallen Parsh would send 8 invasion fleets toward Effluvia in the Super Earth-bordering Cancri Sector. As if this expansionism wasn't enough, the
Jet Brigade would complete their takeover of Curia and begin a new, massive attack on Fenmire shortly after.
With so much carnage occurring across the galaxy, it was easy to see how Myrium's defense would fall through the cracks. With the attacks by the
Jet Brigade and the assaults on Effluvia taking priority, Myrium was heavily undermanned and fell by August 26 to the
Illuminate invaders.

Operation Breached Silence
Myrium remained under Illuminate control ever since its fall during the Tripartite Invasion. While some grassroots efforts would be made by individual Super Destroyers to advance the campaign on Myrium, the
S.E.A.F. at large had diverted virtually all of its manpower towards the campaigns that followed after the victory over the Illuminate at Seyshel Beach. From the Great Expedition into The Gloom to the discovery of Automaton Mining on uncharted Magma Planets to the construction of the
Center for the Containment of Dissidence, Myrium would see virtually no signs of hope for its liberation.

However, come January 2186, Myrium would suddenly be catapulted back into the road to Freedom. Following the success of Operation Free Space and the resulting destruction of Penta, the
Democracy Space Station had been left damaged to the point of being rendered inoperative. Thus, the revered Battle Station would be temporarily stationed at
Pandora Base on Afoyay Bay for much needed repairs after sustaining heavy damage from firing the Star of Peace.

But it would be this very base from where the claws of treachery stroke in the most despicable way. Sometime close, if not right at the time of firing, the Star of Peace had apparently suffered a data breach. Should the data breach be confirmed to have successfully occurred, the blueprints for the battle station may very well have been compromised. The DSS would be immediately placed into lockdown, with only sanctioned
Ministry of Truth inspectors authorized onboard.
Helldivers and
S.E.A.F. Infantry Troopers hold their position against an incoming Voteless horde in Antboot. January 21st, 2186.
However, in an act of autocratic treachery, intelligence reports would indicate that the
Illuminate were planning an attack on Afoyay Bay within the next four days starting January 21st. As such, the evacuation of Pandora Base personnel and Dissidents-Undergoing-Reeducation (DURs) was imperative. The Helldivers would receive the following orders: To liberate Myrium and Valmox, so as to clear a path through which to evacuate this essential personnel, and to hold Afoyay Bay.

Myrium would immediately see the Helldiver Fleet jump onto its orbit and deploy en masse. Within the first four hours, the Helldivers had commenced their offensive against Illuminate positions planetwide. However, the battle would first concentrate in the critical City of Antboot. Not only would the liberation of this city establish a much-needed beachhead for
S.E.A.F. ground forces to stage operations, but it would wipe out an Illuminate garrison estimated to account for 30% of the planet's occupying forces.
The battle for Antboot would advance smoothly while the progress throughout the rest of the planet also continued without disturbance, as the Helldivers perfectly distributed their forces so as to optimally progress the liberation of the city while advancing the planetary campaign as best as they could. By the early hours of January 22nd, the Helldivers had liberated 11% of the planet and retaken the City of Antboot from the Illuminate, thus wiping out 41% of the occupying alien force within just the first 15 hours of the campaign.
With the Illuminate Stronghold at Antboot righteously emancipated from its xenophobic overlords, the Illuminate would withdraw to their garrison on the Town of Plethora. Scattered fighting continued throughout the rest of the planet's many urban settlements, while Helldivers and
S.E.A.F. commenced their advance into Plethora, aiming to capitalize on their momentum.
As the fighting continued into January 22nd, the Helldivers would successfully liberate the Town of Plethora, furthering the campaign on Myrium significantly and wiping out another 15% of the enemy forces. The Illuminate garrison on Myrium began to disintegrate, as combat operations planetwide began to wear down their strength. The remaining Illuminate would concentrate the remaining 30% of their garrison on the City of Pilot's Berth and its surrounding settlements, with the Helldivers and SEAF immediately giving chase against the enemy. However, combat operations on Myrium would slow down significantly later in the day as a new Minor Order came in.
A secure Automaton Database had been identified on Clasa and Cyberassault teams were preparing to breach the site. However, an orbital defense array prevented low orbit Super Destroyer support operation. As such, Helldivers would be cleared to conduct Commando Operations on Clasa's surface to clear out the enemy defenses and allow for this data center to be attacked as planned. Due to the repositioning of so many active fighters, the campaign on Myrium would slow down significantly.
The liberation of Pilot's Berth on the evening of January 23rd would finally break the
Illuminate's slimy, tentacled hold over the world, wiping out the last remainder of the occupying garrison on the planet. However the
Helldivers could not celebrate just yet, as even as
S.E.A.F. cleanup teams cleared the last pockets of resistance, the forces of humanity were already on the move to Valmox.
