The Cancri Sector is an inhabited area of galaxy in Helldivers 2. Neighboring the Sol System, the Gothmar Sector to the left, the Barnard Sector to the right, and the Rictus and Morgon Sectors to the south, it contains 5 colonized systems. It is named after Cancer Constellation.
History
Second Galactic War
Cancri Sector became to rapidly expanding 
Illuminate in August 2185. Eager to take as much stellar space as possible while Super Earth became embattled on two other fronts, Squids have pushed all the way to Fort Sanctuary, from where miracle happened as wave of new 
Helldivers joined the forces. Eventually Squids were pushed out entirely over span of 3 months.

Trivia
- During the First Galactic War there was a region called the Cancri System.
- The sector is most likely named after the 55 Cancri system, which is a solar system in the constellation of Cancer.
- The earlier mentioned wave of reinforcements refers to Helldivers 2 releasing on Xbox, together with the Obedient Democracy Support Troopers warbond, which brought numerous fans of HALO franchise.
- References continued, as many of new players took it as point of honor to retake the Seyshel Beach (Reach) and the city on planet named New Alexandria.
