Clasa is one of the six planets that reside within the Tanis Sector. On January 22nd, 2026, Clasa became the first planet in the game to have Commando Operations available.

Topography and Astrography

The Helldiver Fleet, joined by the Super Earth Icon Democracy Space Station, in orbit over Clasa.

Similar to X-45, Clasa is a planet completely comprised of swampland, full of treacherous waters and towering fossilized trees. These trees, while gorgeous, will often pose an obstacle to the rightful deployment of Eagle airstrikes and Orbital barrages against the enemy, so high environmental awareness is recommended. Rivers in Clasa can often appear shallow before having sudden steep drops that will force Helldivers to swim, so it is recommendable to always tread carefully around bodies of water unless one is absolutely certain that said body of water is shallow enough to walk through.

Clasa is home to 3 Mega Cities, which will be listed up next by tier. Mega City Tiers do not affect level generation and only serve to determine a city's health pool in the galactic war map. The three Mega Cities on Clasa are the Settlement of Sycamore Gardens, the Town of Kodiak Falls and Voting District F-012357, the planetary capital City. Besides the Mega Cities, Super Earth intelligence confirms that, at some point after the loss of Clasa in November 2185, the Automatons Icon Automatons would construct a critical Automatons Icon Data Center where valuable intel would be stored. Additionally, Clasa's magnetosphere makes it a viable construction site for orbital battle stations, as it was one of two planets that the Helldivers had to choose from during Operation Leap Forward.

The Treacherous Marshlands of Clasa

The Treacherous Marshlands of Clasa

The Clasa System consists of a number of planets orbiting around a white dwarf that, when seen from the planet Clasa, sometimes appears green. Besides the planet Clasa itself and its orbiting moon, the Clasa System contains a red gas dwarf and its own white, rocky moon.

Up until September of 2184, the Clasa System had laid on the fringes of the Automaton Front without really having much importance in and of itself to warrant any major involvement by the Helldivers, which naturally lead to it being neglected once the Automatons attacked and conquered it. However, it would be the Automatons who would transform Clasa into a crucial nexus of their eastern territories, using Clasa as a launching pad from where they would eventually conquer the entire Tanis Sector and, by July 2185, would completely dominate and lock off the Gellert Sector.

Now, the Clasa System serves as the linchpin that holds together all of the Automatons' eastern territories. Whenever Clasa falls, the Demiurg System will be completely surrounded and forced into siege, while access to Yed Prior and Zefia (and by extension, the Gellert Sector in its entirety) becomes impossible without subsequent campaigns.

History

Second Galactic War

Operation Liberty Tide

Clasa was, much like X-45, a sort of forgotten planet colony of Super Earth, far off into the Western galactic fringe. However, unlike X-45, Clasa had managed to be colonized and settled some time after the First Galactic War, as well as remaining inhabitable and productive. During the time between the Galactic Wars, the colonists of Clasa would manage to master their rather hostile environment and, as generations passed, would slowly build up the settlements that later became the cities of Sycamore Gardens and Kodiak Falls. Due to administrative reasons, an additional city would be built on what is now known as Voting District F-012357. However, the Automatons Icon Automatons, in their hatred of Super Earth's capitalist might, could not stand such a simple existence, for their drive to pollute planets with socialism was embedded into their transistors.

By September 2184, the Tanis Sector had become a frontline region of the Automaton front, shortly after the Helldivers had decisively repelled the Automaton attacks against Imber. However, the Helldivers weren't sufficiently manned and the Terminids continued to spread their fascism, which led to the Helldivers having to constantly bounce between fronts. Amidst an unusually difficult liberation campaign on Pandion-XXIV, the Automatons at Vog-Sojoth decided to launch a dual attack and, on September 18th, launched assaults at both Clasa and Claorell, with the bulk of the Automaton forces falling at Clasa.

After the fall of Clasa on September 19th, it became the new forward operations base for the robotic armies in the Tanis Sector, as its stood at an important chokepoint that cut off Zefia, Demiurg and Yed Prior from the rest of the FTL Network, making it a critical planet to control.

Yet, despite its critical location, the Helldivers have been continuously driven away from any serious liberation efforts on Clasa, mostly due to its remoteness and the constant surge of higher priority objectives. While Clasa was selected as one of two potential planets for the Helldivers to liberate during Operation Leap Forward to allow for the construction of the Super Earth Icon Democracy Space Station, the Helldivers opted to liberate Gaellivare instead, dooming Clasa to perdition.

Automaton Occupation (Sept. 19th, 2184 - Sept. 17th 2185)

Since the fall of Clasa in September, the swampy planet had fallen under full Automaton control. Between the months of October to December, the heavily reinforced garrison at Clasa would go on to send assaults towards Zefia, Yed Prior, and Demiurg in the time ever since. While the Helldivers were able to repel the attack at Demiurg, they were unable to protect Zefia and Yed Prior from falling to the bots. In turn, the fall of the aforementioned planets would strike a disaster for the SEAF, as the Automatons would reestablish FTL lines between the Tanis Sector and its northern neighbor, the Gellert Sector.

The Automatons Icon Bots would mount an offensive into Blistica and Mintoria, before combining those forces into a sizable assault at Zzaniah Prime. All 3 planets would fall under Automatons Icon Automaton occupation and the bots' control over the Tanis and Gellert Sectors would become more and more inevitable by the day. Eventually, Demiurg would join the ranks of occupied worlds in May of 2185.

Operation Drydock Lockout

On July 15th, 2185 a massive Automatons Icon Automaton attack was sent towards Claorell system from Clasa to capture the Hammer Icon Deep Mantle Forge Complex present on the planet. This severely drained their defensive capabilities on the surface, and with the defense won less than 24 hours later, would leave the system vulnerable to liberation as soon as Major Order objectives are complete.

However, that vulnerability would soon be patched by the Automatons Icon Automatons. On the morning of July 18th, amidst the ongoing battle against the massive bot invasion on Gaellivare, the Automaton Incineration Corps Icon Incineration Corps would resurface on Aurora Bay and Merak after nearly 2 months of going missing. After moving from planet to planet, the Corps would eventually station itself on Lesath before dividing their forces in two, with one section heading to the already ongoing battle on Gaellivare. The other division of the Incineration Corps Icon Incineration Corps would then move to Vog-Sojoth, and an hour later, the Corps would launch a massive, unthinkable assault on Claorell with a force of 50 invasion fleets, significantly larger than their previous invasion fleet from Clasa.

Eventually, after 2 days of fighting, the Incineration Corps Icon Incineration Corps were simply too overwhelming for the Helldivers Companion Helldivers to contend with, particularly given the disastrous fall of Gaellivare on the 19th. Claorell would fall, and with it, Clasa and Vog-Sojoth were closed off for good from the FTL network. Now, both planets lay in bondage along with the rest of the Tanis and Gellert Sectors.

Operation Capitalized Industry

On the 16th of September, 2185, Decrypted Automatons Icon Automaton communications would reveal the existence of a secretive mining operations underway on Mintoria. Although the SEAF logo Super Earth Armed Forces had been occupied with other fronts -- particularly against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate and Terminids Icon Terminids -- for the past several months, however attacks by Terminids Icon Terminids and their Gloom spores would deal severe damage to Outpost Alpha, necessitating both resources and technology for repair and improvement of the vital facility.

In light of this, the technologies utilized in these mines were of high interest to the Ministry of Expansion Insignia Ministry of Expansion as reclaiming and implementing them may help expand the Outpost into nothing less than a spore-proof subterranean haven. Furthermore the tech used on Mintoria was blatantly leaked by traitors embedded among Super Earth’s passionate mining contractors, whose brilliant innovations are set to revolutionize subsurface architecture. These innovations include (but are not limited to) geothermally-resistive siding panels and H1PP0 filtration systems.

As such at 15:40 SEST, SEAF logo Super Earth High Command declared a new Major Order, calling the Helldivers Companion Helldivers to liberate the Hammer Icon Ultramafic Mine on Mintoria, however before this could be accomplished a path too the world would need to be created by liberating various planets, including Zefia and obviously, Clasa, which was the first step on the road to Mintoria thanks to the allied FTL Line on Claorell.

At around 7 PM SEST, the settlement of Sycamore Gardens would be liberated, giving the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. a small, but important foothold, boosting to the planet's liberation. Following the establishment of this important beachhead, scattered fighting began to intensify throughout the planet, as the Helldivers began to retake crucial strategic positions and urban settlements across Clasa's surface.

Fighting would continue through the night and into the next day until Super Earth forces managed to enter the town of Kodiak Falls on September 16th. Brutal fighting ensued both in and outside of the city, with Helldivers valiantly leading platoons of SEAF logo S.E.A.F. Troopers into battle. However, the Automatons at Clasa would mount an even harder resistance than what they had done prior at Sycamore Gardens, concentrating a crucial portion of their forces into the city. This would prove to be a poor tactical decision as the fighting persisted through September 17th, with the Helldivers managing to advance the liberation of Clasa enough that, if Kodiak Falls were to fall, victory in the city would amount to the complete destruction of the Automaton forces at Clasa.

Finally, by midnight, the breakthrough came. And with the liberation of Kodiak Falls on the 18th of September, the almost year long occupation of the planet by the Automatons Icon Automatons would come to an end. The planet's liberation opened up the FTL lanes to Zefia and Yed Prior, as well as cutting off the Automatons Icon Automaton forces on Demiurg from the rest of their evil socialist empire, allowing the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. to conduct an operation independent of the major order to liberate the world.

Operation Bigger Apple

After 364 days of socialist occupation, Clasa could finally enjoy some newfound peace. Under the horrors of Automatons Icon Automaton stewardship, the planet had been severely damaged and stripped of much of its old luster. After the grueling battle to liberate the planet, the heavy ordnance required to dislodge the Automatons from the planet contributed to making the rebuild much more challenging and much, much more necessary. Though the brilliant liberation efforts by the Helldivers Companion Helldivers finally saved this planet a year later, much work was left to be done to restore the planet to its former self.

Luckily, Clasa would spend some significant time out of the limelight of the War. As a whole, the Automatons Icon Automaton front would once again go quiet for some time, with the bots launching little to no attacks on any planet between September and November. In the meantime, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers would push their offensive against the socialist menace, liberating swaths of the Hydra, Nanos, Gellert, and Andromeda Sectors from bot control, as well as taking over the crucial chokepoint of Lesath. All told, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers would be more than on the front foot against the Automatons Icon Automatons for the better part of 2 months, showing their excellence.

On November 6th, 2 days after the great liberation of the Hive World Oshaune from the Terminids Icon Terminids, a new Major Order would be issued by High Command pushing the Helldivers Companion Helldivers to the Southern Front. The rebuild of York Supreme, one of Super Earth's Megacities that were devastated by the battle in May, was finally ready to commence. Resources such as limestone and iron would be procured from two planets in the Akira Sector- Andar and Asperoth Prime. However, the Illuminate Icon Illuminate would begin an offensive toward the two crucial worlds, seeking to gain control of their resource pipelines alongside their crucial position as gateways to the rest of the southwestern galactic sectors. With both Shete and Alaraph (and eventually Hydrobius) under attack, High Command would order that Andar and Asperoth Prime be held for the next 7 days while key materials were extracted from each planet.

By November 7th, Shete had already been defended and the Helldivers Companion Helldivers were firmly on the front foot on Alaraph, though Hydrobius was largely left to its own devices. It seemed that all was well thus far during the Operation, but for Clasa, things were about to become dangerous once again. Despite all the liberation efforts across the Tanis Sector in September, one planet remained in Automatons Icon Automaton hands: Yed Prior, Clasa's northwestern flank. Whilst Clasa had remained out of the limelight for some time, this current posture wasn't set to remain much longer.

As the socialist renegades recognized the ongoing Helldivers Companion Helldiver operations against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate offensive, they began to take advantage. At roughly 15:22 SEST, a massive invasion fleet of 21 Automatons Icon Automaton warships appeared within the atmosphere of Clasa before beginning a ground assault upon the planet's rural and urban settlements- and worst of all, its massive City of Voting District F-012357. The planet's colonial overseer would raise the SOS beacon, stating that Clasa could only hold for 48 hours before it would collapse.

Swiftly, a small contingent of roughly 2,000-2,500 Helldivers Companion Helldivers would report to the defense to aid the SEAF logo S.E.A.F.. However, it became clear that more was going to be needed to tackle this Automatons Icon Automaton fleet- even if that fleet was moving relatively slowly. With operations against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate an obvious, immediate priority, Clasa was fearing the worst.

A surprising number of Helldivers Companion Helldivers would eventually join the battle for the planet, as Helldivers in the South would eventually successfully defend Alaraph and redeploy to both Clasa and Hydrobius to try to save both planets. Upwards of 10,000 Helldivers would join the battle on Clasa, fighting across the sprawling City and Town while battling in guerrilla combat amongst the gnarly trees and vines. This contingent would put up an extremely valiant defense, bringing the Town of Kodiak Falls to within nearly 50% of being defended, which would grant a sizable boost toward their defense progress- though the dastardly Automatons Icon Automatons were still rapidly advancing through the planet.

However, on November 8th, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers would be forced to shift away from Clasa. Amidst the ongoing defense on Clasa and in the South against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate, a minor order would be issued for the Helldivers to liberate the encircled Barabos from the Automatons Icon Automatons, so that the native flora on the planet could be uprooted and replanted on Super Earth to restore the rainforests that were devastated during the Illuminate invasion in May. As such, the roughly 24% of Helldivers on Clasa would rapidly abandon the planet to aid on Barabos, leaving the colonial defenders on the planet to fend off the Automaton invaders by themselves. Now severely undermanned and still well behind the Automatons Icon Automatons' offensive progress, things began to look grim for Clasanites.

Barabos would be liberated in swift order by 06:25 SEST on November 9th, opening up the Helldivers Companion Helldivers to join the ongoing defenses on Karlia against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate and Clasa. However, with the obvious priority to defend Karlia so the Illuminate cannot make it to Andar or Asperoth, the Helldivers were once again largely forced to ignore Clasa's defense, sending the Super Earth Icon Democracy Space Station and their men to Karlia. Now with time expiring soon, and still undermanned, Clasa was likely doomed.

At 15:25 SEST, Clasa had officially fallen to the invading Automatons Icon Automatons, marking their return to the planet after nearly 2 months of innocent peace for the planet.

Clasa would remain under Automaton Occupation ever since its fall in November 2185. In the months that followed, however, the Automatons Icon Automaton Legion would be unable to make much use of Clasa's positioning as they had done prior, as their supply lines back to the Valdis Sector through Vog-Sojoth and Lesath were consistently kept blockaded by the SEAF logo Super Earth Navy due to the Helldivers' diligent focus on maintaining control over Lesath.

Despite the situation, the Automatons would utilize the few weeks of time that Vog-Sojoth remained under their control to construct a Data Center on Clasa. However, this nefarious construct would only spell its own doom. By January 2186, both Lesath and Vog-Sojoth had been liberated by the Helldivers Companion Helldivers once again and now, Clasa's Data Center was exposed.

Cyberassault teams were poised to breach after having learned of the data center's existence. However, the Automatons Icon Automatons' nefarious orbital defense array, as well as a non-insignificant number of Automaton Warships, made it impossible for the assault to proceed, as these orbital defenses prevented the traditional low orbit Super Destroyer combat support. New tactics were needed and, as such, some of the galaxy's finest would be dispatched.

Redacted Regiments of Helldivers Companion Helldivers were given clearance to carry out Commando Operations on Clasa's surface behind enemy lines, their mission being to dismantle the planet's defenses in order for the Cyberassault Teams to be able to carry out their strike successfully. This mission was of the highest level of secrecy, as failure would mean the Automatons Icon Automatons evacuating the crucial data away.

By 00:00 SEST on the 25th of January, more than 70% of the required number of commando operations on the planet had already been completed, demonstrating that the Helldivers were sufficiently adapted to operating in the new conditions. Undoubtedly, the planet's natural conditions played a huge role in this significant progress, as a large part of it is covered with lush peat swamp forests that provide natural camouflage.

By 07:25 SEST on the 26th of January, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers had completed their objectives, giving the Cyberassault teams the cover they needed to accomplished their mission, of completing a covert file transfer to the Automaton database. High Command would credit the (relatively) small cadre of Helldivers Companion Helldivers who enabled mission with its success. Their display of uncommon skill in their conduct of Commando mission would also prove the viability of this new operational method, which would pave the way for similar operations into deeply contested territory in the future.

Operation Information Reclamation

On the 26th of January, 2186, the Ministry of Truth Insignia Ministry of Truth confirmed after a lengthy investigation that the star of peace plans had been stolen, but not by an act of dissidence. Therefore, it could only have been an act of espionage, committed by an external enemy of Super Earth Icon Super Earth. The technical capacity and manual dexterity required for such reprehensible espionage ruled out the Terminids Icon Terminids, meaning that only the Automatons Icon Automatons or Illuminate Icon Illuminate could have carried it out.

Suspicion was primarily focused towards the Automatons Icon Automatons. More specifically their recently discovered planetary database on Clasa, a central processing hub for the machine-collective. Unfortunately the extensive orbital defense network and heavy enemy fleet presence would complicate efforts to liberate the planet, as the Helldivers Companion Helldiver Corps discovered on the 28th of January, as the relatively swift liberation of Sycamore Gardens gave way to a heavy Automaton counterattack which saw the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. pushed off of the world.

Rethinking their strategy, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers turned their attention to Yed Prior, who's liberation on the 29th of January would cut the Automatons Icon Automatons on Clasa off from the rest of the socialist legion and allow the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. to pick their defenses apart piecemeal. This was followed up by a full scale ground offensive, which would quickly see Sycamore Gardens retaken from the bots. Kodiak Falls feel to the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. several hours later, making the liberation of the planet all but inevitable.

By midnight, the liberation of Voting District F-012357 would collapse the Automaton forces on the planet and pave the way for Clasa's eventual liberation on the morning of January 30th, expunging the Automatons completely out of the Tanis Sector and encircling their remaining forces in the Gellert Sector.

Operation Circuit Breaker

As part their diabolic doctrine to expand the HD2 cyborgsCyborgs evil empire, the Automatons Icon Automatons would launch an multi-planet wave of expansionist aggression targeting the Tanis Sector in late April of 2186. Vog-Sojoth, Curia, and Charbal-VII were the primary targets, and while the former two were successfully defended in the opening hours, the latter was not. On the 23rd of April, while the bulk of the Helldivers Companion Helldiver Corps were occupied with the liberation of Charbal-VII and the acquisition of raw biological data for Termicide 2.0, the Jet Brigade Icon Jet Brigade would launch another assault on Clasa.

With the Helldivers Companion Helldiver Corps spread thin across multiple worlds and local SEAF logo S.E.A.F. defenders pushed out of urban centers, the fall of the planet was an unfortunate inevitability. By the afternoon of the 24th of April, all organized resistance from the SEAF logo S.E.A.F. had been crushed, giving the Automatons Icon Automatons temporary dominion over the planet. In the meantime, the Automatons Icon Automatons would re-construct the planetary Automatons Icon Data Center and began constructing heavy fortifications.

Vog-Sojoth would be attacked by the Jet Brigade Icon Jet Brigade two days later on April 26th. The attack would punch through planetary defenses, resulting in the temporary occupation of the planet until it was liberated on April 27th. The Super Earth Icon Democracy Space Station immediately moved to liberate Clasa and while its Heavy Ordnance Distribution was still active, it was also low. Voting Disctrict F-012357 was liberated on the early hours of April 28th but planetary campaign was stuck at a standstill and rolled back the following day.
