Our way of life is why we fight!
~ SEAF Soldier

SEAF Soldiers, alternatively known as SEAF Troopers, are the standard combat infantry that makes up the SEAF logo Super Earth Armed Forces' Army, typically deployed across the Super Earth Icon Federation and encountered by Helldivers Companion Helldivers during operations conducted on Mega Cities. Equipped with AR-23 Liberators, G-6 Frag grenades, and the occasional EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank, they are a formidable light infantry unit.

When acting as part of a larger fireteam, SEAF Soldiers are more than capable of dispatching dozens of light and medium enemies, including hordes of Voteless, Scavengers, Overseers, Warriors and even taking down a lone Fleshmob or Hive Guard with little difficulty. They fare just as well against the Automatons Icon Automatons, having better accuracy, fire-rate and armor than Bot Troopers and possessing the armor penetration (and numbers) necessary to dispatch Scout Striders as well as Devastators.

Note: For more information on the subject, see the main SEAF logo Super Earth Armed Forces article.

The standard issue kit of most SEAF logo S.E.A.F. Army soldiers bears some resemblance to those worn by the real-world United Nations Peacekeepers. Over the top of light blue combat fatigues is worn a set of standard issue B-01 Tactical armor and an open helmet, which provides basic protection from both pistol and rifle caliber bullets, as well as stab and slash attacks (represented by these areas having a Light armor value).

Protective goggles are worn for extra protection, along with a black balaclava. Finally, the most important part of the standard issue kit is a pair of leather-nylon combat boots, which are an essential part of any SEAF logo S.E.A.F. soldier's uniform. Soldiers are also provided with a tactical belt with several pouches for storing ammunition and other items, with the breastplate able to support the attachment of at least 3 more pouches.

Behavior and tactics

SEAF Soldiers will typically move in fire-teams of 3-6, often actively fighting with or seeking out enemy forces by patrolling the streets and alleyways of the Mega Cities. They will fire on enemy patrols when encountered and will also attack enemy encampments.

However, they can break off from their patrols to support Helldivers Companion Helldivers, should they be commanded to do so. Currently, they can be divided into three types:

Once within engagement distance (typically within 35m), SEAF Soldiers will attack enemy targets with controlled bursts from their rifle, whilst occasionally throwing grenades to take out harder targets and large groups. Should they encounter high-health targets such as the Fleshmob, any Rocket Soldiers amongst them will fire their disposable anti-tank launchers at them.

Though only having 72 hours of training, the SEAF Army Soldiers are surprisingly capable as not only will they take on large groups of enemies such as Voteless and Overseers just fine, but they will occasionally destroy enemy Encampments and sometimes even disable a Cognitive Disruptor by themselves. In such cases, they will use grenades to destroy enemy structures, including Warp Ships, Terminid Nests and Automaton Fabricators.

SEAF Soldiers can be made to follow Helldivers Companion Helldivers by using the "FOLLOW ME" command in the communications wheel, or made to hold their position by using the "HOLD" command. Alternatively, doing the Casual Salute (in which case they'll salute back) or the Lockstep emote will have the same effect. Additionally, they will salute any planted CQC-1 One True Flag they find in their way if they are not in combat. Whenever the Helldivers Companion Helldivers engage the enemy in combat, SEAF Soldiers can be heard cheering for them, similarly to the civilians.

One must be careful when engaging the enemies with the SEAF Soldiers as any accidental kills to them can lead to deduction in Requisition Slips. This can be detrimental especially when using Mines such as the MD-8 Gas Mines or powerful anti-tank Stratagem such as the Eagle 500kg Bomb as they are not programmed to avoid hazards, although surprisingly, the A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower does not react when they stray close.
