The strange subversion of photosynthesis that sustains the oddly-hued flora that flourishes on this planet remains an intriguing mystery to the Super Earth's greatest exo-biologists.
~ Official Description

Siemnot is one of the four planets that reside within the Xi Tauri Sector.

Similar to Genesis Prime and Gemma.

History

Second Galactic War

Return of the Illuminate

Siemnot was, much like all the colonies in its sector, a peaceful frontier colony of Super Earth, laying sort of forgotten on the very edge of the Federation. Given its remoteness, despite being discovered during the First Galactic War, it wouldn't be until well into the Great Democratization when the first colonists made planetfall on Siemnot. This would result in the small communities of Siemnot gathering into small pockets of settlements that would, over time, develop and urbanize into the urban colonies that can be found on the planet today.

It would be these pockets which would attract the attention of an old, nefarious foe long thought extinct: The Illuminate Icon Illuminate. On January 2nd, the Illuminate sent a raid onto Siemnot mere hours after their prior success at Sirius. The Helldivers would have to immediately divert a contingent towards Siemnot in order to contain the invaders and mitigate the damage as they struggled to coordinate between the three fronts while High Command worked on new orders.

Post Illuminate Icon Illuminate Raid Campaign & Interim (November 2185)

Siemnot wound up facing several more Illuminate Icon Illuminate raid attempts all the way through April 2185. Its position at the very fringe of the Galactic South, coupled with other priorities on other fronts, meant that it would receive very little support from Helldivers Companion Helldivers for most of its campaigns, leaving it severely undermanned. Time and time again, the Illuminate would plunder the planet's rural and urbanized infrastructure while kidnapping more and more colonists to be converted into Voteless monstrosities. Siemnot would be heavily bruised- yet still fighting with valor each and every time.

The Illuminate Icon Illuminate would eventually abandon their raid campaign in the Galactic South, instead daring to attack Super Earth herself in May 2185. In what was the biggest battle of the entire Second Galactic War to date, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers were victorious, sending the cowardly Illuminate Great Host on the run. Following this massive failure, the Squ'ith would retreat to their hideouts and former raid sites in the Galactic South to begin re-establishing their former empire. Now engaging in conventional capture campaigns, the Illuminate Icon Illuminate would capture swaths of the Hanzo, Ferris, and Omega Sectors before eventually pushing deep into Super Earth Icon Super Earth space, capturing most of the Rictus Sector and even reaching as far as Seyshel Beach in the Cancri Sector. The South was now imperiled, and the Illuminate Icon Illuminate were clearly intent on avenging their pathetic failure to capture Super Earth.

In September and October 2185, the Helldivers Companion Helldivers would eventually engage in a counter-offensive against the Illuminate Icon Illuminate, capturing significant swaths of the Hanzo, Ferris, and Omega Sectors. This left the Squ'ith encircled at both Heze Bay and the last dregs of their Omega Sector holds on Setia and Senge 23, potentially opening the door to further detach Illuminate forces. Sadly, whilst the Helldiver counter-offensive was ongoing, the Illuminate Icon Illuminate would simultaneously engage in their own offensive by opening up FTL lines into the Rigel Sector. This dynamic situation meant that the Helldivers Companion Helldivers could only deploy limited forces to halt the Illuminate's advance, enabling them to capture Rirga Bay, Seasse, and Rogue 5 by October 15th. Eventually, this would culminate in the Illuminate Icon Illuminate being able to capture RD-4 by October 23rd, and Hesoe Prime five days after, with only Hort standing as the sole planet left in the Sector that the Illuminate couldn't overtake.

Alongside the attack on Hesoe Prime, new FTL Lines had seemingly been established across the entirety of the Galactic South on the 27th of October. All the former Illuminate Icon Illuminate raid campaign sites, spanning from the Meridian and Tarragon Sectors to the Xi Tauri and Akira Sectors, were no longer isolated as each planet's colonial overseers sought to increase cooperation in the face of the growing Illuminate threat. Siemnot itself would re-establish its old, downed lines to Shete and Sirius, alongside a new FTL line to Skat Bay. Yet, of course, one major danger would occur in the face of this. The Illuminate Icon Illuminate, almost simultaneously with these FTL line changes, would establish lines to some of these planets that their territory bordered on- clearly with the intent to expand westward in an imminent offensive. For Siemnot, sadly, this would include the Illuminate's establishment of a line from their territory on Setia to Siemnot's neighbor, Shete. Now, it seemed that Siemnot may have needed to begin preparations for the worst possible scenario- an Illuminate Icon Illuminate invasion of the planet, but with the full intent of capturing it, unlike the past.

Sure enough, Siemnot would need to heed these warnings. On November 5th, amidst no current Major Orders and alongside ongoing Helldivers Companion Helldiver operations on Fenmire, Effluvia, and Terrek, the Illuminate Icon Illuminate had built up their forces sufficiently and began to mount an offensive into the Xi Tauri Sector as they invaded Shete with a massive force of 26 invasion fleets. The Helldivers Companion Helldivers would deploy a contingent of 3,000 within their Corps to initially engage the threat, and it seems that they plan to send the Super Earth Icon Democracy Space Station to the planet to help. Only time will tell if the Helldivers can stave off this threat- and Siemnot sure hopes that the Corps can come through for it on this occasion.

Operation Void Attack

TLDR: Attacked by normal Illuminate on April 18th. 24 hour defense. Due to ongoing defense against Squid APTemp Appropriators on Hort at the time, defense was lost and Siemnot fell on April 19th. MO won since loss of Siemnot allowed for Hort defense success on April 19th, plus compounded defense wins at Ain-5 and Eukoria.
