Sangis is one of 6 planets that reside in Omega Sector. Together with Basquine VIII, it was added to the game on June 16th, as first two planets with Westfall Forest biome. Additionally, along with Sangis, it was the first planet to ever be the objective of a Campaign, this being the Census Thunder Campaign.

Similar to planets like Basquine VIII, Sangis is a planet of gentle weather and gorgeous amber groves and grassfields whose orange is often emboldened by the sunset, its trees very similar to those found in the northern regions of Sector 7 of Super Earth during the Autumn. The waving prairies of the planet gently swerve up and down, only occasionally interrupted by small, shallow rivets and the odd small pond or small chasm wherever the groves don't provide their shade, with the many moss-covered rocks of this planet often accompanied by collections of colorful bushes and shrubberies.
The Amber Meadows of Sangis
Sangis' climate is mostly stable and does not become neither too cold nor too hot. The only notable weather occurrence on the planet are occasional periods of light rainfall and small periods of mist right after, but these are so minor that they do not significantly hamper combat.
Being a natural preserve prior to the Second Galactic War, Sangis does not have any Mega Cities or any notable Super Earth infrastructure. Despite this, the planet is still home to a number of human inhabitants under the 
Federation of Super Earth, who have built a collection of urbanized settlements throughout the planet's surface. Besides these settlements, the undeveloped meadows of the planet are sparsely littered by detached settler dwellings, frontier camps, farms, broadcast stations, research outposts, E-710 silos and 
S.E.A.F. facilities. Additionally, having been part of the 
Illuminate Empire during the First Galactic War, Sangis' surface is home to a collection of abandoned Illuminate ruins scattered throughout its surface. However, do remember: Only a traitor is curious about alien artifacts!

Sangis is a planet within its own, eponymous star system. Besides Sangis, at least 3 other astronomical objects can be seen, which are an ice giant and its two orbiting yellow, rocky moons. Besides these objects, two nebulas can be observed from Sangis' surface, one orange and one light gray. Additionally, a nearby blue subgiant can be seen from Sangis' orbit and its light reaches Sangis' surface, illuminating the planet at night, but it is too far to be part of the system.
Because of the planet's relative remoteness and its its status as a natural reserve prior to Operation Census Thunder on June 16th, 2186, Sangis does not serve any greater strategic purpose in the struggle against the Illuminate Cult. While it's proximity to The Void could prove valuable, its lack of significant FTL lines only really gives it short term value.
