| ~ Official Description |
Alta V is one of the five planets that reside within the Korpus Sector. Along with Crucible, it is one of the first two planets to introduce Mega Cities outside of Super Earth, as well as being one of the first 2 planets to introduce Mega Cities on the Terminid Front.
Unfortunately in November of 2185, the
Centre for Civilian Surveillance and Safety would release a disturbing report which named Alta V as one of the three most dissentious planets in the federation. Low enlistment rates, high sick day usage, unconventional haircuts, and even reports of antisocial behavior. A State of Patriotic Emergency was immediately declared in response, with the
Ministry of Unity deploying LIES (Loyalty Intervention & Enforcement Squads) to find and apprehend the traitors hiding in plain sight.

A sparse jungle world abundant with life both human and otherwise, from it's deep oceans to the thick forests and tall grasslands, bearing a ghastly resemblance to Meridia prior to its terraformation by the Terminids.
Alta V is home to two relatively low population mega-cities listed below. Mega City tiers have no effect on Level Generation, but are still split into four different categories on Colony planets, identifiable by the number of stars above the icon: Settlements (one star), Towns (two stars), Cities (three stars) and Mega Cities (four stars).
- Porte Liberté (Town)
- Undervatten (Settlement)
History
Second Galactic War
Operation Pest Control
Alta V was, for much of its recorded history, a peaceful planet colony of the Federation at the very center of the Eastern Galactic Mid Rim. Having been settled during the Great Democratization after the end of the First Galactic War, the colonists of Alta V would learn to dominate the lush jungle and, as generations passed, would thrive and prosper enough for their initial settlements to evolve into what would become the mega cities of Porte Liberté and Undervatten.
However, Alta V's prosperity would also make it a target for those who seek to spread only tyranny, death and destruction. Early in February 2184, as the Initial Terminid Outbreak was spreading out of control into the Orion and Celeste Sectors, the planets of the Korpus Sector would all disconnect from the Federation's FTL network, in order to contain the spread of the bugs. This move would pay off and afforded Alta V one year of tense peace, as they watched the Terminids come and go from the neighboring Orion Sector. But with the return of the Illuminate in December 2184, the situation soon worsened.
Volterra would be invaded multiple times by the nefarious squids as they plundered Dark Energy to then propel the
Meridian Black Hole and, eventually, allow the Illuminate to call their fleet and launch an obscene invasion of Super Earth. Because of the Battle of Super Earth, the
S.E.A.F. had to recall all of its forces back to the capital, creating an opening that would quickly drag the Korpus Sector into the Second Galactic War.
During the campaigns to stop the Meridian Singularity, an outbreak of the
Predator Strain had overwhelmed the Orion and Celeste Sectors, with Veld, Slif and Krakatwo falling to the Terminids. Then, on June 10th, 2185, the
Terminids launched a massive onslaught onto both Crucible and Alta V. Super Earth High Command immediately issued a major order for the Helldivers to hold all planets in the Korpus Sector by all means necessary.
Alta V's assault would only be a secondary one, as the bulk of the onslaught poured onto Crucible. Yet still, the 13 million broods that made planetfall were quick to spread chaos throughout the planet, as they attacked Undervatten and other rural regions. However, Alta V's own assault would be turned around quickly. The Helldiver contingent deployed to Alta V managed to contain the hordes at Undervatten, holding the city and destroying a significant portion of the invading force, which quickly turned the battle at Alta V into a victory. However, this was not meant to be the end.
By the next day, the Terminids had begun a second dual assault, this time aimed at Volterra and Inari. The assault on Inari would end up overrunning the planet, despite the Helldivers' best efforts. The
Predator Strain attacked Alta V immediately after Inari's fall, gathering its own forces and combining them with those that had yet to be cleansed off Alta V, which made the second attack reach a staggering Invasion Level of 35. Ultimately Alta V would be overrun on the 13th of June, with
Predator Strain spores spreading from there to Caramoor.
After the successful defense of Caramoor, the
Helldivers would return to liberate Alta V and with the help of the
Democracy Space Station, the planet would be cleansed of
Predator Strain broods by the night of the 16th of June, just in time to complete the major order.
Operation Big Brother
Dissidence hides in plain sight![1]
On November 13th, 2185, the
Centre for Civilian Surveillance and Safety would release a disturbing report which named Alta V as one of the three most dissentious planets in the federation.
At the same time
S.E.A.F. outworld garrisons were pulled back from outer defenses to Alta V along with Gaellivare and Diluvia to maintain order until the crisis could be resolved. At the same time the immediate expansion of the
Centre for Civilian Surveillance and Safety would become vital in order to ensure that the government could protect loyal citizens by faithfully maintaining the Unity of the Federation. In order to facilitate this, the
Helldivers were ordered to collect samples from the
Automatons and
Illuminate to study their insidious ways and aid in the development of improved surveillance technology.
