| ~ Official Description |
Zagon Prime is one of the four planets that resides within the Mirin Sector.
Topography
Prior to the Gloom terraforming the planet, Zagon Prime's landscape is typical of a desert planet on the outer fringes of Federation space, comparable to similar planets like Durgen and Choohe. The planets blazingly hot surface forces Helldivers to suffer the Intense Heat Enviromental Condition and its rocky mesas are the only things visible within the almost infinite feeling spread of sand and dunes. As similar to Durgen and Choohe, Zagon Prime features occasional sandstorms on its surface which causes Helldivers and enemies alike to have reduced mobility and greatly reduced visibility which can prove both incredibly useful and overwhelmingly deadly.
However, following the Terminid's tyrannical Gloom that shrouded the planet, it becomes a Hive World, now completely infested by Bugs in every inches.
History
Special Military Operations
Operation Prime Liberation
Zagon Prime was one of the primary objectives in the operation along with Fori Prime but was unable to be liberated in time for the end of the Major Order.
Failure of the TCS System
Hours before the TCS fail and Operation Umlaut Firebreak , Omicron had reached 70% liberation this is the closest that the Helldivers have ever come to returning to Zagon Prime since it was attacked and lost on February 8th.
Second Galactic War
Operation Hive Breaker
Whilst not directly linked to the operation itself, Zagon Prime would eventually see some minor action after the liberation of the nearby FTL connected planet of Nivel 43 during the Major Order. At the time of Nivels' liberation, only Fori Prime was left to be captured for the order, allowing some Helldivers to travel to Zagon in hopes of pushing the Terminid scum further back. It is also worth noting that this is the first time Helldivers have been able to step foot on Zagons' harsh planet since the TCS failure roughly 2 months prior.
Landfall was last made on June 25th, 2184, right before Nivel 43 fell and locked the planet away fully. From this point on, Zagon Prime would be locked away and held by the Terminid pests, no attempts could be made to re-obtain access to it. However, it would only get worse.
Assimilation into the Gloom

Did you watch Kelly just now? That’s it, I’m enlisting. Can you believe that those filthy fascists, think they can just waltz on in here, into our neighboring sector, and cover our One True Flag in, their disgusting spores? Kelly said, they’ve already taken Zagon Prime. Clive could have been, on Zagon Prime. If you see him, let him know I love him, okay? And that next time I see him, I’ll be a war hero. |

| ~ Recovered Gloom Expedition Log. c. 2184[1] |
On August 6th, 2184, a mysterious cloud of Interstellar spores was discovered near Enuliale which began rapidly growing, and this phenomenon was named The Gloom. It reached Zagon Prime on August 9th, 2184, and by August 16th, 2184, the spore cloud had enveloped the sandy world so heavily that it was declared unobservable and was hidden from the galactic war map.
The situation on Zagon Prime is currently unknown. Several probes have been sent in but quickly stopped sending signals as soon as they entered the system. One can only imagine what vile things go on in that filthy ochre cloud of Terminid spores.
Following the assimilation of Zagon Prime into The Gloom, multiple SEAF expeditions would be attempted. None succeeded. Left behind at Zagon Prime, there was a man referred to by the name of "Clyde", whose status is currently unknown. Early Gloom Expedition Logs recovered by Helldivers through High Command-issued GWW Galactic Terminals reveal that a civilian close to this Clyde subject enlisted into an SEAF Gloom Expedition with hopes of becoming a war hero and that, should this Clyde be seen, that this particular soldier "loved him".
Stefan Holmes affair
| “ | This is your trusted Ministry of Truth Approved Investigator Stefan Holmes with an URGENT transmission! I have discovered a suspicious looking envelope outside of our front door. After hours of deep investigation I have barely inched closer to cracking this bizarre case. Never in my long and prosperous 5 months at the job have I seen anything of the likes. I even asked our Janitorial Specialist (to protect his Identity I am only refering to said person as M.T) if this has ever happened before. This was his response: "No" I urge you, citizens of Super Earth, Champions of Deduction and Yearners of Truth - Help me crack this case open. What could all of this possibly mean? |

| ~ Stefan Holmes, not an actual Ministry of Truth Approved Investigator |
On the 1st of April, 2186, a supposed
Ministry of Truth investigator by the name of Stefan Holmes would begin posting using official Ministry accounts on the Galactic Wide Web, asking for public assistance with an open investigation.[2] Over the next several hours they would post several pieces of "evidence," including a filthy envelope,[3] a half eaten apple,[4] the ID badge of Steven Caves,[5] and finally poorly made pro-
Terminids propaganda, including a poster[6] and video.[7]
However, this suspicious activity was being tracked by actual
Ministry of Truth investigators who were trace the signal to an abandoned building within a colony of Zagon Prime, only to find nothing at the crime scene save a single computer connected to a massive keyboard-like object with the "O" button pierced straight through, and an absurd amount of half-eaten apples besides it.[8]
The
Ministry of Truth then released an official statement explaining there was no investigator within the Ministry by the name of "Stefan Holmes", and that the "Investigation" was now under actual investigation.[8]
