Second Galactic War
Return of the Illuminate
Ras Algethi was a peaceful frontier colony of Super Earth right on the edge of the Southern Galactic Rim. Seated right at the edge before deep space, Ras Algethi's remoteness would make it one of the last colonies to be properly settled during the Great Democratization after the First Galactic War had come to an end, which meant that its small population of colonists had to quickly concentrate into sparse pockets of urban settlements scattered throughout its surface once they could finance them and secure the materials.
However, as quickly as they had finished said settlements, they would lose them, as an odious enemy of Super Earth stared from within the vastness of space. The 
Illuminate, thought extinct for the past 100 years, had now resurfaced with the intention of waging war against Managed Democracy once more. On January 4th, following their raid at Eukoria, they immediately moved to Ras Algethi with the intention of abducting as many people and resources as their nefarious saucers could fit.
The Helldivers, despite being occupied with the fight against the 
Automatons, would dispatch a contingent to the planets in hopes of preventing as much of the plunder as possible.
FTL Timeline
- February 8th, 2184: Ras Algethi is connected by FTL to Halies Port and Propus.
- June 13th, 2184: FTL lines to Halies Port and Propus are destroyed.
