Tactics

• Predominately found on high level planets, Butchers are airdropped onto the battlefield, normally in groups of two to six (~20 on difficulties 13-15), wherever 'Squadleader' Soldiers / Legionnaires or IFVs have raised an alarm to warn of a Helldiver's presence.

• Butchers behave like Berserkers: after spawning they will quickly close to melee range and engage players in combat where just two or three strikes from their sawblades is enough to down a Helldiver.
  • Unlike Berserkers, however, Butchers will not stop to finish downed opponents, instead moving towards another target, such as another Helldiver, vehicle (crewed or not), turret or objective. They will only strike at a downed Helldiver when they are either attacked by them from the downed state or if the downed Helldiver is between the Butcher and its next target.

• Butchers are also far more resilient and can absorb a great deal more punishment than all other Cyborg infantry, making even small groups of them a significant threat and emphasizing the importance of focused fire when dealing with these foes.
