General Rules
We are aware that there are two Helldivers wikis, one on Wiki.gg and the original one here. We function as separate platforms but we are still on equal terms, this means you are not to go out of your way to be rude to their editors or steal their work.
1. Keep it civil
Do not make personal attacks on other people. If you need to criticize another user’s argument, do so without attacking them as a person. Do not use bigoted language, including slurs which degrade another person or group of people based on gender, race, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, etc.
2. Plagiarism is not allowed
When adding to an article, be sure to write it in your own words unless it's taken from an official source such as in-game or from the developers. Copy/Pasting someone else's work is incredibly distasteful and isn't allowed. This, including the gathering of images, please credit the original source no matter where you got it from.
3. Do not harass other users
If somebody asks you to stop posting certain content on their wall/talk, respect their wishes. It is their profile after all.
4. Follow community guidelines for formatting
When a community has established formatting, it’s important to adhere to that, especially when spoiler content is involved.
5. Leaked/Unreleased Content
We do not welcome leaked content on this wiki. Leaked content violates our rules, Fandom's TOS & Sony Interactive Entertainment's TOS, you can post them in their respective channels on our discord but uploading said content to the wiki is strictly against our rulles and will result in a ban.
Secondary Rules
The Secondary Rules are still rules none the less, this means these rules are here to keep this wiki functional
6. Do not engage in self-promotion
The wiki is a collaborative community resource for the topic at hand. It is NOT a free place to advertise your related website, YouTube channel, blog, social media account, etc. Have a question about whether your link would be welcome? Ask an Administrator!
7. Be a productive member of the wiki
Contribute to the wiki in line with the established processes and conventions. Need help? Ask an Administrator. Disrupting the wiki with “edit warring” over differing opinions of a topic with another user or group of users is not productive.
8. Keep things as factual and official as you can
Personal, fan-created lore is typically not allowed on official pages. If it cannot be proven and/or hasn't been stated by the development studio, then it shouldn't be on the pages. Exceptions can be made if the fan-created lore/information is written well enough and doesn't pose conflicting issues with other bits of lore or articles. If new information about a subject arises via official sources, the fan-made information will be removed and replaced with the proper text.
If you wish to make content that is not proven as official or isn't at all, please take it to the Helldivers Fan-Fiction Wiki where its welcome.
Formatting Rules
The Formatting Rules are put in place so users know what our standards are and what CAN/CAN NOT be done on this wiki.
1. Image Formatting
When uploading an image all users must give it a valid name related to the image. The image name CAN NOT! be random jumbles of letters/numbers, slurs/insults, default screenshot names, etc.
1a. Image Naming Styles
When you go to name an image it must be related to the image being used.
For example the image Alairt wilderness.jpg was originally just called 20251007172705 1.jpg, we do not allow this as it would mean finding this file name in the future would be practically impossible unless you knew where to find it.
1b. Image File Types
All images must be uploaded as .png OR .jpg files to allow easy replacing for newer versions of the image. This is primarily in place due to some of the templates not accepting anything other than .png, .jpg or in rare cases .gif/.mp4 files.
2. Template Formatting
When creating a template it must have a name related to the subject, lore, etc. If a template is designed to show a name of a group and its for the use on other pages please ensure the template can also link users to that related page, for example
Terminids,
Automatons,
Illuminate and
Ministry of Truth, please also ensure there is an image related to that subject that can be easily seen. Please note there are both Light & Dark mode users, please ensure the text color is readable in both modes.
3. Page Formatting
When you make a page it can NOT! contain any form of brackets in the title to indicate what it is in relation too as this makes the page look bad and poorly made.
3a. Page Titles
A page must look professional to a degree. If the title looks something like Bile (Terminids) and an Administrator hasn't noticed it in over 2 days, please mention it in the discord so it can be dealt with when they get the chance.
Another option is to make a new page with the correct title, transfer the information to the new page and list the old one with the {{Delete}} template. An Administrator will spot it in their next purge of pages/files that happens every 1-2 months and delete it.
3b. Real In-Game Object
A page title must be a real thing in the game, it can NOT! be something the player-base/single player has chosen as the name.
3c. Multiple Related In-game Objects
When there is multiple things related to each other but have too little information for it to be useful on its own page they must be compiled under one specific title that relates to them all. This is done to remove having multiple pages of one sentence blurbs. For example the Environmental Conditions page was made to reduce the need for having multiple pages with very little info on them.
3d. Page Readability
When you are making/editing a page and filling it out with information it must be formatted in a way where users can easily edit it in the future. If the page has a template, please set it up so users can find what they need too, and change it with ease.
