Return of the Illuminate
Skaash was, for much of its history, a peaceful planet colony far off in the Eastern Galactic Rim. Having been colonized after the end of the First Galactic War, Skaash's history doesn't really have many other events worthy of note, leaving the reasons behind its high population a mystery.

However, Skaash would not enjoy its peace for much longer. An old foe from a century ago, the 
Illuminate, had returned in order to plunder the fruits of humanity's free, hard labour. On December 20th, shortly after their devastating defeat at Achernar Secundus, the Illuminate launched a dual strike targetting Skaash and Bashyr. The Helldivers, knowing that they could disrupt the Illuminate's plans with one more victory, would heed Skaash's call for aid and immediately deployed onto the planet, hoping to prevent further calamity.
As expected, the Helldivers would come out victorious at Skaash after 10 hours of combat. Having lost too much of their forces to continue, the Illuminate were forced to withdraw, granting the Helldivers victory over the xenophobic alien raiders. While Skaash's urban colonies laid in ruins, at least they were now free to rebuild in peace.
