The Deactivate Terminid Control System mission is a limited time event that begun on April 29th, 2024 following the failure of Operation Legitimate Undertaking. It consists of Helldivers dropping into locations hosting previously activated Termicide towers and deactivating them while slaughtering the infestation that has grown in its confinements.
There are two objectives that are of equal importance: Deactivating three corrupted battery silos, which in turn deactivate the dispersion tower in the center; and destroying at least 17 egg nests that are scattered across the entire area of operation.
Notes
- On Suicide Mission (7) difficulty and higher, there's a chance that Super Samples can be collected.
- Rare Samples will never appear on such missions.
- The Super Sample rock will always spawn at the furthest point somewhere on the outskirts of the map; It will never be within the corrupted area found in the center of the map.
- A single Spore Spewer can spawn in the center area of the map; making it difficult to see. This is not considered a side objective and the player will not gain any XP or Requisition for destroying it, however it's still recommended to do so for the sake of visibility.
- There will be an immediate bug breach once the first Battery Silo is deactivated. This breach will stay active for the rest of the mission, popping breaches up randomly near every player.
- Breaches can still be called prior to this by regular means; however, they will dissipate like normal until the first silo is activated.
