Termadon is one of the five planets that reside in the Quintus Sector.

Second Galactic War
Operation Democracy Delivered
Termadon was, up until 2185, a peaceful frontier planet colony of Super Earth, far off at the very edge of the Western Galactic Rim. Having been discovered during the First Galactic War, Termadon would remain mostly untouched until after the end of the conflict, with odd raids by both sides occasionally taking place. It wouldn't be until many decades into the Great Democratization that Termadon would see formal colonization efforts done upon it. Due to its remoteness, the firsts colonists would struggle to set up, but through their hard work and perseverance they soon managed to prosper and build a scarce collection of urban settlements that sparsely dotted the planet's surface.
However, this humble existence wasn't enough to allow Termadon to live in peace. With the Automaton invasion of the nearby Severin Sector in February 2184, the colonial overseers in the Quintus Sectors arranged for the total disconnection of their planets from the FTL network, which meant the end of Termadon's connection to nearby Tibit, which had been occupied by the 
Automatons. This seemed to be the end of it, as the Automatons would be successfully expunged from the Severin Sector in April. Yet, Termadon wasn't fated to remain in peace for much longer.
In December 2184; the 
Illuminate, an ancient foe of Super Earth from the First Galactic War, would make their return to the Milky Way and immediately set upon waging war against Managed Democracy once again. On January 24th, 2185, they would send an invasion fleet towards Termadon with the objective of plundering as many resources as possible and abducting as much people as they could. The Helldivers, despite having been ordered away towards the Terminid front on the opposite end of the galaxy, would valiantly dispatch a contingent towards Termadon in order to aid with its defense.
Yet, despite their noble efforts, the Helldivers would not succeed in repelling the invasion fleet and, 12 hours after the initial planetfall, the Illuminate left.
