| ~ Armory Description |
The R-2 Amendment is a semi-automatic scoped battle rifle featured in Helldivers 2. It is a ceremonial weapon, typically used for military parades and drills, although it is a fully-functional weapon of war. It has a rather peculiar feeding method, in that the magazine well is located on the left side of the gun, rather than under it.
It can be bought from the Masters of Ceremony Warbond.
Role
The R-2 Amendment is a mix between the R-63CS Diligence Counter Sniper and the R-63 Diligence, combining the Counter Sniper's high damage rating, with the standard Diligence's better handling and magazine size. On its own merits, it currently sports the highest RoF amongst marksman rifles and the only one with a three-round burst-setting, giving it decent and stable burst damage potential. It also comes with a bayonet to augment close-combat damage like the R-2124 Constitution.
However, it lacks modification options besides swapping the optics, making it less versatile than the Diligence series.

Notes
- Its large magazine size, decent damage, and near non-existent recoil makes it fairly adept at quickly taking down hordes of chaff, who can be killed within two shots to the center mass.
- The weapon excels in close and mid-range combat, where its stable profile allows consistent delivery of damage.
- While the light-penetration seems like a downside, this allows easy headshots against Devastators, as they will not flinch on a miss, and a single headshot is guaranteed to kill, making spraying the head of one, much more consistent than the R-63CS.
- Additionally, the lower recoil and faster RoF also makes stomach and arm shots against Devastators more consistent, since these parts are have lower levels of protection.
- The bayonet augments melee damage to 110, the same as the CQC-5 Combat Hatchet, while also slightly extending its effective range. This makes close combat strikes more damaging, especially when paired with the Peak Physique armor boost, which doubles the damage. Mounting the larger x4 or x10 optic with Peak Physique also negates the large ergonomic penalty imposed by these sights.
- Bayonet strikes penetrate medium armor.
- The Amendment excels against the
Automatons, being able to instantly kill any Trooper variant with a direct hit and instantly kill any Devastator variant with a headshot.
- Caution should be taken while using the bayonet against the
Jet Brigade, however, as it will detonate their jetpack.
- It sees fair performance against the
Terminids thanks to its high power, decent RoF, and large magazine capacity. The addition of a bayonet also makes melee-countering jumping Hunters a bit easier, thanks to the longer reach. - For the
Illuminate, it sees similar performance with the Terminids. While it cannot headshot Overseer due to their medium-armored helmets, if one is more used to killing overseers with bodyshots; the gun's advantages are more useful in this scenario.

Trivia
- The weapon's overall design is a rather creative amalgamation of the stock and barrel of an M14 rifle, the feed system of the FG-42 while taking the magwell and mag release system of the H&K G3, and the receiver and bolt profile of an AK rifle.
- The mag release and magwell are crudely welded onto the side of the receiver, an odd choice for a gun suppose to be used for ceremony, given that aesthetic presentation is very important in these events.
- This would imply that they were not originally made to be used with the gun, as separate machined parts like this are typically riveted or pinned in-place.
- Likely, R-2 Amendments originally used internal magazines, and were hastily modified to take box magazines to be somewhat servicable in the Battle of Super Earth.
